Ready to Make Your Own Breakfast Board?
Let’s talk ingredient options!
For produce: I used strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, fresh avocado, and green grapes here. Blackberries, bananas, kiwi, mango, oranges, apples, and balled melon would be great options, too!
For meats: Our favorites are breakfast sausage and crispy thick-cut bacon. Try sliced ham or turkey bacon to change it up.
For carbs: This board features my Fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes, but how about waffles, toast, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, or donut holes? Croissants, pastries and mini muffins also work great.
For eggs: In place of hardboiled eggs, try deviled eggs or soft boiled eggs. Feeling fancy? Up the style with mini frittatas or mini quiche.
For serving: Serving pancakes or waffles? Add pure maple syrup, softened butter, or a sifter of powdered sugar on the side. Hosting brunch? Add juices and coffee, and a leafy green salad to the table. Remember to set out lots of plates and serving utensils!

How did you make this?
I picked a large circular board – this round one is about 15 inches across. Any large board or sheet pan will do! I added the largest food first, which was the pancakes, and then arranged smaller items – fruits, sausages, bacon – around it. Scatter foods around, don’t just lump all of them into one side. This makes it extra gorgeous and colorful. This board is really easy to prepare! It helps greatly to have an inspiration image to go off of, when you’re assembling. Get creative and make your board special to you and your guests!
For making ahead:
I recommend arranging the fruit on this board no more than 1 day ahead. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap, leaving out the cooked items such as pancakes, bacon and eggs, as these will go soggy if refrigerated overnight. Right before serving, add your cooked items to the board.

Question; can we use any board for this? Like a surfboard, skateboard, snowboard, board of directors, poster board, boarding house, board games? Or does it have to be wood related, like be a plank, beam, panel, slat, batten, or timber?
