Best Ever Banana Bread

Just looking at this banana bread conjures up all my warm and fuzzy feelings!

Enjoying a super moist, lightly sweet slice of banana bread with my morning coffee is the best feeling. When I don’t have the time for a sit down breakfast? Well, don’t mind if I do snag myself a slice of heaven on the go.

There is no bread I love to bake more, since this recipe is so quick and simple. It doesn’t hurt that the reactions to a fresh-out-of-the-oven loaf are always the cherry (banana?) on top!

If you’re looking for the perfect use for those brownish bananas, you’ve found it. We’ve been baking, gifting, devouring and LOVING the same recipe for years and years. There is a reason it is specially requested by everyone in my house, and is our go-to surprise package for cheering up friends and family. This bread has quick prep and only takes one hour to bake. Our family recipe makes 12 slices that melt in your mouth, reheats perfectly in your microwave, and those slice loves to soak up a pad of salted butter!

Let’s get you to the recipe, and start baking!

Ready to cook your own Banana Bread?

• Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly coat a 9-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray. If desired, line the bottom and sides of the pan with strips of parchment paper – this helps easily lift out the loaf.

• In a large mixing bowl, stir sugar and oil. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in bananas, milk and vanilla.

• Add flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir until well combined.

• Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake loaf for 60 to 70 minutes. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.

• Set aside to cool slightly. Run a knife along edges of bread, lift onto a cutting board, and slice.
